+ What is it?

PRF is one of the most natural ways to induce collagen, tighten the skin, improve skin texture, and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles This is a great alternative if you aren't quite ready for filler. (This treatment requires us to draw your blood.)

+ Before

Avoid alcohol and caffeine before and after your treatment. This will help minimize any bruising or swelling.

If approved by your health care provider, do not take any blood-thinning medications such as Ibruprofen, Advil, Vitamin E, Fish oil, Exedrin, Aleve, etc.

Stay hydrated and avoid coming in on an empty stomach. This will also provide comfort during your appointment.

Starting an Arnica supplement at least 2 days prior to injections may help with bruising.

+ While you're here

Following the consultation, if you choose to proceed, blood will be drawn, usually from your arm, and placed into a centrifuge to separate the platelets. The PRP is then prepared for injection. The injection site is cleaned and sometimes numbed with a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort.
